Job summary

Abacus Consulting is seeking a Data Engineer to lead software delivery across enterprise projects. You will guide design, architecture alignment, and delivery quality while collaborating with architects, product owners, and operations to ensure scalable, secure solutions.

A strong background in APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms is required. The role emphasizes DevOps aided delivery, mentoring junior engineers, and shaping technical roadmaps within our Software Engineering CoE.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Software Engineering or related field.
4–6 years of software engineering and application development experience.
Strong experience in enterprise architecture, system integration, APIs, and modern practices.
Experience with cloud platforms, DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile delivery.
Experience with distributed systems and microservices lifecycles.

Responsibilities

Lead and guide software engineering teams in design, development, and delivery of enterprise solutions.
Provide technical leadership across multiple agile squads and promote best practices.
Drive solution design, architecture alignment, and technical decision-making.
Collaborate with architects, PO, and stakeholders to define requirements and delivery approaches.
Ensure security controls, coding standards, and QA processes are consistently applied.
Support estimation, sprint planning, roadmaps, and delivery execution.
Mentor engineers to improve capability and maturity; support DevOps and cloud practices.
