Job summary

NorthBay Solutions LLC is seeking a Lead Data Engineer with deep AWS and database expertise to architect and optimize scalable data platforms across Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Redshift.

You will drive end-to-end data pipelines, mentor engineers, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade analytics solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and Database Development.
• Strong expertise in AWS data ecosystem and database technologies (Oracle PL/SQL, PostgreSQL PL/pgSQL, Redshift).
• Proven ability to design, develop, and optimize scalable data platforms at enterprise scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and implementation of data pipelines and data warehouse solutions on AWS.
• Design and optimize Amazon Redshift-based analytics platforms.
• Develop and review complex PL/SQL and PL/pgSQL procedures, functions, and scripts.
• Drive data migration and transformation across Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Redshift environments.
• Implement performance tuning strategies including indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
• Establish best practices for data governance, security, and quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver data solutions.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and provide technical leadership.
