Job summary

Abacus is a forward-thinking technology company seeking an entry-level SQA Engineer in Lahore. You will join the Quality Assurance team to build a strong foundation in software quality, collaborating with experienced QA and development teams to deliver quality products.

The role targets fresh graduates or early-career professionals with 0-1 years of QA experience, offering exposure to manual and automated testing, API validation, and test automation using Selenium.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 0-1 years experience in QA/testing.
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC concepts.
• Basic knowledge of manual and automated testing techniques.
• Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, Python).
• Exposure to QA tools such as Selenium, JMeter, or Postman is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on functional and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and basic performance testing.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects with clear reproduction steps.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman.
• Assist in test automation efforts using tools like Selenium and support maintenance of automated scripts.
• Maintain QA documentation including test cases, defect reports, and test execution results.
• Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and QA review meetings.
• Continuously learn and apply QA best practices, tools, and methodologies.
