Job summary

Oxford University Press in Pakistan is seeking an editor to support the timely production of high‑quality Social Science and Computer Science titles in line with curriculum requirements and budgets. You will manage projects from commissioning to print‑ready manuscripts and digital resources in collaboration with the line manager.

You will edit, proofread, and quality check content for accuracy and curriculum alignment, collaborate with authors, reviewers, designers and internal teams, and gather

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and excellent English language skills.
• Strong editorial skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Understanding of curriculum and pedagogy, with an interest in developing subject knowledge.
• Good digital literacy, including Microsoft Office, and an interest in the responsible use of AI and digital tools.
• Excellent communication, organisation, time management and collaboration skills.
• Teaching experience at primary and secondary levels.

Responsibilities

• Edit, proofread and quality check print and digital content for accuracy, curriculum alignment and consistency.
• Collaborate with authors, reviewers, designers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of resources.
• Gather and analyse curriculum, market, customer and teacher insights to support publishing decisions.
