Job summary

Translation Empire PK, a UK’s leading translation and interpretation company, is seeking a Junior Android App Developer to design, build, test and maintain Android apps from our office in Rawalpindi. You will collaborate with the development team to implement features and resolve issues.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in CS/SE and 1–2 years of Android experience with Java or Kotlin, Android Studio, Gradle, Git, and REST APIs.

UK's leading translation and interpretation company Translation Empire PK is looking for a Junior Android App Developer who will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining Android applications. The successful candidate will work closely with the development team to ensure that the applications meet the specified requirements and quality standards. The Junior Android App Developer will also be responsible for debugging and resolving issues in the application code, as well as contributing to the development of new features and functionality.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in Android application development, with experience in Java or Kotlin programming languages
• Familiarity with Android development frameworks and tools, including Android Studio, Gradle, and Git
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in the application code

• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Kotlin, Java, XML layouts and Jetpack Components (Navigation, LiveData, ViewModel, Room, etc.).
• Familiarity with REST APIs, Retrofit, and JSON parsing.
• Experience integrating third-party SDKs or APIs.
• Exposure to Firebase
• Basic knowledge of Git and version control.
