Our client Hirewise is looking for an Internal Audit Assistant Manager in Lahore.

The Assistant Manager Internal Audit at Hirewise plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of the organization's financial and operational controls. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive risk-based audit plans, conducting detailed audit testing, and leveraging data analytics to enhance audit quality and efficiency. The professional in this position is responsible for preparing detailed audit reports and maintaining thorough audit documentation, which supports the organization's compliance and financial transparency goals. With a required experience of five years, the ideal candidate brings a strong grasp of financial reporting, monthly and annual accounts closing, and general ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to applicable standards and regulations.

In addition to technical audit functions, the Assistant Manager will lead and supervise a team of five internal audit professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes quality and continuous improvement. The candidate will manage audit schedules, coordinate with various departments to verify financial controls, and monitor compliance requirements systematically. This management responsibility includes providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members to enhance their professional development, while also ensuring timely completion of audit cycles. Job Overview

• We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager Internal Audit with strong expertise in financial reporting, monthly accounts closing, financial reconciliations, and external audit coordination.
• Candidates from the manufacturing sector will be strongly preferred. However, professionals from other industries with directly relevant financial reporting and closing experience may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and review monthly accounts closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Review financial statements, general ledger accounts, and supporting reconciliations.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual financial closing and audit requirements.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and supporting documentation.
• Identify discrepancies in reporting and reconciliation processes and coordinate their resolution.
• Review financial controls and recommend improvements to reporting and closing procedures.
• Work closely with finance and accounts teams to address audit observations and closing-related issues.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Candidates must meet any one of the following:
• CA Finalist: 35 years of relevant industry experience.
• ICMA Qualified: Minimum 5 years of managerial-level experience.
• ACCA Qualified: 57 years of relevant industry experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience is strongly preferred, although candidates from other industries with relevant expertise may be considered.
