Job summary

leading-edge is seeking a dedicated Primary School Teacher to create a positive learning environment for grades 1–5 at our Clifton, Karachi campus. You will design and deliver engaging lessons and monitor student progress.

You will collaborate with colleagues, communicate with parents, and stay current with best practices. A Bachelor's in Education and a teaching certificate, plus at least 2 years of primary teaching, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Teaching certification or license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching primary school students.
• Strong knowledge of primary school curriculum and teaching methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in technology and using it in the classroom.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.

Responsibilities

• Create lesson plans and deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students in grades 1-5
• Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities
• Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns
• Participate in school events and activities, such as parent-teacher conferences and staff meetings
• Stay up-to-date with educational best practices and incorporate them into teaching methods
• Adhere to school policies and procedures, including grading and attendance policies
• Maintain accurate and organized records of student attendance, grades, and progress
