Job summary

This contract role requires prior information security experience and relevant certifications, with emphasis on vulnerability management, risk assessment, security controls, and incident response.

The successful candidate will conduct regular assessments, implement safeguards, monitor threats, and collaborate with teams to ensure policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required
• 2+ years of experience in information security or related field
• Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST and related standards
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, databases (SQL Server, Oracle) and programming languages (Java, C++)
• CISSP or CISM certifications are preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential risks
• Develop and implement security protocols and procedures to protect information assets
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and respond promptly to security incidents
• Perform risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in the system
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, trends and technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Prepare reports on security incidents, risks and mitigation strategies for management review
