Job summary

AIO is seeking a Junior Industrial Designer to join our restaurant hardware team in Islamabad. You will collaborate with senior designers and engineers to move concepts from sketches to manufactured products, contributing across research, concept development, prototyping, 3D visualization, and usability testing.

You will build the skill set to shape hardware through multiple new products, learning CMF, materials, and manufacturing processes while delivering photoreal renders and refined

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Design.
• Strong sketching and visual communication.
• Proficiency in CAD (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, NX, Rhino).
• Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Ability to produce photorealistic renders (KeyShot).
• Ability to create refined prototypes using diverse materials
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design workflows
• Strong portfolio showcasing design thinking, creativity, and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Create compelling sketches, renderings, and 3D models to communicate design intent.
• Build and test prototypes for form exploration, feature validation, and ergonomics.
• Assist in running usability studies and documenting insights for iteration.
• Research materials and finishes to explore Color, Material, and Finish (CMF).
• Create photorealistic 3D visualization renders
• Maintain organized design files, research summaries and CAD versions
• Collaborate with mechanical and engineering teams to evolve concepts into functional part designs.

As we expand our AIO restaurant hardware lineup, we're looking for a creative and passionate Junior Industrial Designer who's eager to learn, curious to explore, and ready to contribute to real products. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career designer to contribute to the entire product journey from a sketch on paper to a manufactured product, in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.

About The Role

You’ll work directly with the Senior Industrial Designer and collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers. The role centers on building multiple new hardware products from scratch, contributing to research, concept development, prototyping, 3D visualization, and usability testing.
