Job summary

Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) – Suleman Dawood School of Business invites applications for a full-time Research Assistant to support a healthcare systems research project. You will collect data, manage datasets, and help prepare research outputs under the Principal Investigator.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field and at least one year of research experience, with strong skills in surveys, interviews, and both quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related social science discipline from an HE C recognised institution.
• At least one year of research experience involving data collection and analysis.
• Fresh graduates with a strong research background are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct primary data collection through surveys, interviews, and focus groups with healthcare stakeholders.
• Collect, compile, and organise secondary data from reports and databases.
• Assist in designing and pilot testing research instruments such as questionnaires and consent forms.
• Coordinate fieldwork including scheduling and obtaining access and permissions.
• Clean, code, and manage datasets with attention to ethics and confidentiality.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses using appropriate software.
• Conduct literature reviews and prepare summaries and annotated bibliographies.
• Assist in drafting research outputs such as reports and manuscripts.
• Maintain documentation of research processes and data files.
• Perform other research-related tasks as assigned.
