Job summary

The Corporate Institute seeks a Head of Insurance to lead the Group's insurance portfolio and risk management framework, ensuring robust coverage across assets, operations, and logistics.

You will work with leadership, insurers, brokers and internal teams to optimize costs, negotiate renewals, manage claims and drive governance, reporting, and MIS for senior executives. The role demands 12–20 years of enterprise insurance experience and professional risk qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Insurance or a related discipline.
• 12–20 years of relevant experience in corporate insurance, risk management, insurance broking, or advisory.
• Experience leading insurance functions for large organizations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Group’s insurance and risk management strategy.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, financial, asset, and logistics risks.
• Manage programs covering property, liability, marine, transit, cyber, D&O, and business interruption risks.
• Lead policy renewals, negotiations, and placements with insurers and brokers.
• Drive claims management, including assessment, documentation, negotiations, and settlements.
• Prepare insurance budgets and monitor premium costs for optimization.
• Develop MIS and risk reports for senior leadership.
• Build relationships with insurance companies, brokers, surveyors, and consultants.
