Job summary

DP World Karachi invites applications for Senior Manager Operations - Freight Forwarding. You will lead Freight Forwarding Operations across Pakistan, driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and reliable service delivery while building strong relationships with carriers, network offices and key customers.

You will coach the team, set KPIs, coordinate with Sales and Finance, monitor performance, and implement initiatives to improve efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

• Freight forwarding experience mandatory and seven+ years in operations.
• Proven ability to manage end-to-end freight forwarding operations, customer relationships, carriers and network offices.
• Experience leading teams and delivering high service standards in a fast-paced freight forwarding environment.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills with carriers, customers and network offices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluent English.
• Computer literate with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Freight Forwarding Operations team to ensure seamless execution of existing and new business.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with ocean carriers, shipping lines and network offices.
• Ensure competitive carrier solutions, adequate capacity, reliable service and effective support for customers.
• Maintain close relationships with key customers and network offices as a senior contact for operations.
• Proactively understand customer requirements, address concerns and resolve issues for high customer satisfaction.
• Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions to improve service quality and efficiency.
• Coordinate with Sales, Finance and other stakeholders for end-to-end execution of customer business.
• Assess customer needs, market developments and competitor activities to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop initiatives to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, customer retention and profitability.
• Ensure communication and coordination between customers, carriers, network offices and internal teams.
• Lead, coach and motivate the Operations team to maintain a high-performing, customer-focused culture.
• Set objectives and KPIs for the team and monitor performance against targets.
• Ensure compliance with DP World Logistics policies, SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Provide timely operational reports, KPI updates, and business insights to management.
