Job summary

Game District in Pakistan is seeking a Lead Concept Artist to spearhead visual ideation for our mobile games. You will shape the art direction, establish a cohesive visual language, and mentor an art team across characters, environments, and props.

The role requires 5+ years in concept or game art, with strong portfolios and hands-on Unity experience. You will collaborate with designers, directors, and animators to deliver production-ready concepts for mobile titles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Concept Art, Game Art, or a closely related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality character, environment, prop, and/or key art concepts.
• Proven experience creating concepts specifically for games.
• Hands-on experience with Unity and translating concepts into game environments.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Procreate, Illustrator, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the concept art direction for characters, environments, props, UI elements, and other game assets.
• Develop high-quality concept art, sketches, mood boards, visual explorations, and style guides.
• Establish and maintain a consistent visual language and art style across the game.
• Translate game design requirements into strong visual concepts.
• Provide clear visual direction to 2D/3D artists and production teams.
• Review artwork and provide constructive feedback to maintain quality and consistency.
• Mentor junior and mid-level concept artists to improve skills.
• Collaborate with Game Designers, Art Directors, 3D Artists, Animators, UI/UX Artists, and others.
• Explore multiple visual directions and iterate quickly based on feedback.
• Research trends and relevant visual styles for inspiration.
• Ensure concepts are production-ready for mobile game constraints.
• Help define and document art pipelines, workflows, and quality standards.
• Take ownership of concept development from ideation to handoff.
