The ideal candidate has proven Head Chef experience in high-volume environments, strong leadership, and a passion for quality and creativity. Accommodation can be provided; flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
• Advanced knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and culinary trends
• Creativity in menu planning with the ability to balance traditional dishes with modern twists
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge of health codes, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations

Responsibilities

• Create new and exciting menus that showcase local ingredients and cater to diverse dietary preferences
• Manage food inventory and ensure that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality
• Oversee food preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and plated beautifully
• Train and supervise kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and other kitchen personnel
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
• Monitor food costs and make necessary adjustments to ensure profitability
• Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop strategies for improving efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
