Job summary

HR Ways in Lahore is hiring a Mechanical Product Design Engineer to translate ideas into hardware from concept to prototype and production. You will create 3D CAD models and assemblies using SolidWorks or Fusion 360 and collaborate with electronics and embedded teams.

The role involves enclosure design, mechanical assemblies, prototyping with 3D printing, CNC machining, sheet metal and injection molding, and applying DFM/DFA to optimize performance, cost, and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Design Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in mechanical product design or hardware product development.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and/or Fusion 360 for 3D modeling and assemblies.
• Hands-on experience with 3D printing, CNC machining, sheet metal, and injection molding design.
• Knowledge of DFM and DFA principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical products and hardware components from concept to production.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
• Design enclosures, mechanical assemblies, and structural components for electronic products.
• Develop prototypes using 3D printing, CNC machining, sheet metal, and injection molding processes.
• Apply DFM and DFA principles to optimize product performance, quality, and cost.
• Collaborate with electronics, embedded, and industrial design teams to integrate mechanical and electrical components.
• Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and validation testing to ensure product reliability.
• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers during prototyping and production.
• Identify and resolve design issues throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, drawings, and revision control.
