Job summary

Aga Khan University in Karachi seeks a Senior Instructor in the Department of Community Health Sciences to design, coordinate, and deliver training for global health security initiatives. The role focuses on strengthening health workers and government partners through structured capacity-building activities.

It is a grant-funded 12-month contractual position requiring strong instructional design, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Travel to project districts may be required.

Qualifications

• Masters level or higher in Public Health or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, orientations, and capacity-building activities.
• Adapt training curricula, modules, manuals, and job aids for the project.
• Deliver training using adult-learning approaches and participatory methods.
• Support capacity-building components in EPI, polio, TB, One Health, surveillance, and outbreak preparedness.
• Coordinate with technical leads to ensure content accuracy and alignment with objectives.
• Conduct needs assessments and identify capacity gaps among participants.
• Provide field-based coaching, mentoring, and post-training follow-up.
• Maintain training records, attendance, evaluations, and documentation.
• Prepare training reports, summaries, and technical documentation.
