Job summary

Contour Software Pvt Ltd seeks a senior AI Engineer to design and build an enterprise GenAI platform. You will create production-ready RAG systems, embeddings pipelines, and LLM orchestration layers for complex workflows across our Lahore/Islamabad centers.

You will integrate OpenAI/Anthropic or open-weight models, ensure governance, and collaborate with product teams to drive AI-enabled features while maintaining security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical degree
• 5+ years building applied AI/ML systems with strong Generative AI experience
• Proven experience shipping LLM-powered applications (RAG, embeddings, prompts)
• Deep understanding of vector search, semantic retrieval and AI system evaluation
• Experience building orchestration layers using LangChain, Semantic Kernel, LlamaIndex or similar architectures
• Strong cloud-native engineering experience (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Advanced Python skills and scalable backend/API development
• Experience implementing observability, CI/CD, and monitoring for AI systems in production
• Ability to balance innovation with enterprise constraints (security/compliance)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise GenAI architecture from the ground up
• Build production-ready RAG systems and embeddings pipelines
• Architect LLM orchestration layers for multi-step reasoning and tool use
• Define scalable patterns for agentic systems and domain-aware assistants
• Integrate LLM providers into secure, observable enterprise systems
• Develop AI service layers, orchestration APIs, caching and evaluation pipelines
• Ensure latency, cost optimization, safety and reliability at scale
• Establish governance and data provenance for AI outputs
• Mentor engineers to raise the organization’s AI maturity
• Move PoCs to scalable production-grade AI capabilities
