Job summary

LUMS invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher with CAPE to advance interdisciplinary air pollution research in Pakistan. You will join a collaborative team addressing environmental and societal impacts, with mentorship from CAPE directors and collaboration across national and international partners.

The role involves field sampling, lab analysis, data processing, and contributing to grant-ready outputs while mentoring students and staff.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant science or engineering discipline.
• Experience in air-quality monitoring, aerosol or particulate analysis.
• Strong scientific writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Support field sampling, laboratory analysis, and data analysis.
• Maintain rigorous research records and QA/QC.
• Prepare papers, reports, and policy-relevant outputs.
• Present findings at meetings and conferences.
• Contribute to grant proposals.
• Mentor students and research staff.
