Job summary

DBS is seeking a Full Stack Python Developer to build and maintain production-grade applications. You will work across the backend, frontend integration, databases, and cloud infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.

You will diagnose and resolve issues across application, database, server, and deployment layers while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Onsite in Lahore, Pakistan; competitive compensation based on experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in Full Stack Python development.
• Hands-on production experience with Python, Django, and DRF.
• Experience with Celery and RabbitMQ, including queues and workers.
• Strong PostgreSQL experience including backups and troubleshooting.
• Linux server administration with Nginx and Gunicorn.
• Experience with Docker, Conda, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3) and environment management.
• Good frontend integration knowledge and API testing skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a Full Stack Python Developer / Python Engineer to join our DBS team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in developing, deploying, managing, and troubleshooting production-grade applications.

You will work across the backend, frontend integration, databases, background processing, servers, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD environments, ensuring that applications remain reliable, scalable, secure, and performant.

This role requires someone who is comfortable working with live production systems and can independently diagnose and resolve issues across application, database, server, and deployment layers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance production-grade applications using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate backend services with frontend applications.
• Implement and manage asynchronous/background processing using Celery and RabbitMQ.
• Configure and manage queues, routing, workers, retries, and background jobs in production environments.
• Develop and maintain database solutions using PostgreSQL.
• Perform database backups, restores, troubleshooting, and performance-related investigations.
• Manage and troubleshoot applications running on Linux servers.
• Configure and maintain systemd, Nginx, Gunicorn, permissions, and application/server logs.
• Deploy and manage applications and infrastructure using AWS EC2, RDS, and S3.
• Maintain and troubleshoot DEV, STAGING, and PROD environments.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI.
• Manage environment-specific configurations, secrets, and deployment settings.
• Work with Docker, Conda, background workers, and process orchestration.

• Support the ongoing maintenance, optimization, and scalability of the DBS.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience in Full Stack Python development.
• Strong production experience with Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Hands-on experience with Celery and RabbitMQ, including queues, workers, routing, retries, and production operations.
• Strong PostgreSQL experience, including backups, restores, AWS RDS, and troubleshooting using pgAdmin.
• Good knowledge of Linux server administration, including systemd, permissions, Nginx, Gunicorn, and logs.
• Hands-on experience with AWS EC2, RDS, and S3.
• Experience with CircleCI, CI/CD pipelines, environment management, and secrets/configuration management.
• Experience managing DEV, STAGING, and PROD environments.
• Practical experience with Docker, Conda, background workers, and process orchestration.
• Good understanding of frontend development and backend API integration.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across application, database, server, and deployment layers.
• Ability to independently maintain and troubleshoot live production systems.
