Job summary

Contour Contour Software is seeking a skilled software engineer to join our Enable team. You will build end-to-end features in a full-stack Blazor/.NET environment, focusing on scalable backend services, web APIs, and secure identity models for multi-tenant deployments.

You will contribute to SQL data design and performance, collaborate with product and support teams, and help shape deployments across multiple tenants and platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial C# and .NET experience building web applications.
• Production experience with Blazor Server or similar component-based framework.
• Understanding of server-held circuit state, latency, and scale.
• Backend service design with real examples of business logic.
• Web service and API design experience.
• Practical knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
• Strong SQL skills for relational databases, direct querying as well as ORM.
• Clear English communication and code-review discipline.

Responsibilities

• Build features end to end in Enable, from UI components to services and queries.
• Implement backend services and ensure domain rules are testable.
• Design and consume web services for Enable and mobile products.
• Work with identity, access, and multi-tenant permission models.
• Write and optimize SQL against relational databases, manage performance.
• Review others’ code and participate in automated tests and deployments.

The role Auto-IT builds the dealer management systems that run automotive, agricultural, and equipment dealerships across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia — part of the Perseus Operating Group within Constellation Software, with engineering across Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and India. Enable is our newer web platform, and this role builds on it. You will work across the full stack — Blazor Server components at the front, business logic and web services behind them, and relational data underneath. The problems are real operational ones: workshop scheduling, parts, stock, service invoicing, and the integrations that connect a dealership to its manufacturer. Getting them right takes someone who cares about how the software behaves in a busy service department, not only whether it compiles. What you'll do Build features end to end in Enable, from Blazor Server components through to the services and queries that support them. Implement business logic in backend services, keeping domain rules separable from presentation and testable on their own. Design and build web services consumed by Enable, our mobile products, and customer and OEM Work with identity and access — authentication and authorisation flows, token handling, and role and permission models that hold up across tenants. Write and tune SQL against our relational databases, and take responsibility for how your queries behave under production data volumes. Review other people's code and have yours reviewed; contribute to automated tests and the deployment Work directly with product and support colleagues to turn dealership problems into working software, and to understand what happens after release.

Essential

• Strong commercial C# and .NET experience building web applications.

• An understanding of what server-held circuit state means for latency, reconnection, and scale.
• Backend service design, with real examples of business logic you have modelled and implemented.
• Web service and API design.
• Practical experience with modern identity and authorisation protocols, including OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
• Strong SQL against relational database systems — not only through an ORM, but reading and writing queries directly and understanding what they cost.
