  • Develop and maintain detection rule performance reporting, tracking rule effectiveness, false positive rates and coverage gaps in coordination with the fraud monitoring team.
  • Monitor and research evolving fraud typologies relevant to the UAE and GCC market, including industry publications, regulatory guidance, Interpol and FATF fraud-related outputs, and peer bank intelligence.
  • Develop and maintain a library of fraud scenarios and typologies relevant to the GCC's product and customer profile, used to inform risk assessments, detection rule development and staff training.
  • Produce regular fraud intelligence briefings for the Head of Fraud Risk, senior management and the fraud governance forum, highlighting emerging threats and recommended control responses.

Detection Rule Management Support
  • Maintain a register of active detection rules across the fraud monitoring system, tracking rule rationale, thresholds, review dates and performance metrics.
  • Work with the investigation and QA team to identify false positive and false negative patterns and recommend rule amendments to the Head of Fraud Risk for approval.
