Job summary

Strategic Systems International is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (Python / AI) to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications. You will implement RAG-based solutions, build agentic workflows, and ensure scalable, secure production systems.

The role requires hands-on engineering to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions and to collaborate with stakeholders across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and backend application development.
• Hands-on experience developing AI-powered applications and integrating Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience with AI agents, agentic workflows, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Practical experience deploying and maintaining applications in production environments.
• Working knowledge of AWS services, preferably S3, OpenSearch, and DynamoDB.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions or similar automation tools.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
