Job summary

United Smart Tech is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee our fleet of vehicles and equipment, ensuring safety, reliability, compliance, and cost efficiency. The role covers acquisition, maintenance, licensing, fuel usage, driver compliance, and fleet performance.

You will coordinate inspections, maintenance, and repairs, monitor costs and usage, manage budgets, and develop preventive programs. Strong negotiation, analytical ability, and leadership are essential to optimize operations and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation Management, or related field preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of fleet management or transportation management experience.
• Experience managing commercial vehicle fleets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the company's fleet of vehicles and equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate vehicle inspections, repairs, and warranty work with internal technicians and external vendors.
• Monitor fleet performance, utilization, fuel consumption, and operating costs.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT, OSHA, and environmental requirements where applicable.
• Maintain accurate records for vehicle registrations, titles, insurance, permits, inspections, and maintenance history.
• Oversee vehicle acquisition, replacement, disposal, and asset lifecycle management.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors, repair facilities, leasing companies, and fuel providers.
• Monitor driver qualifications, licensing, training, and compliance with company safety policies.

The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's fleet of vehicles and equipment to ensure they are safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation Management, or a related field preferred but not required.

• Minimum of 3–5 years of fleet management or transportation management experience.
• Experience managing commercial vehicle fleets preferred.
