Job summary

Multan, Pakistan: Buch International Hospital is seeking a Fire & Safety Officer to implement fire prevention and health safety measures across the hospital campus. The role requires creating and maintaining safety procedures and coordinating with the facilities team to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

You will conduct risk assessments, safety audits, evacuation drills, and staff training, and ensure compliance with NFPA, OSHA, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• NEBOSH or IOSH certification is required.
• 3–5 years of practical experience in fire and safety.

Responsibilities

• Implement fire prevention and occupational health and safety measures across the hospital.
• Ensure emergency preparedness, risk assessments, safety audits, and drills.
• Develop safety policies and coordinate with HR on safety orientation.
• Inspect facilities and ensure compliance with NFPA, OSHA and local regulations.

Job Description

The Fire & Safety Officer is responsible for implementing fire prevention and occupational health and safety measures across the hospital, ensuring emergency preparedness, conducting risk assessments, safety audits, workplace inspections, and testing of fire and safety equipment. The role includes developing and maintaining safety policies and emergency procedures, advising employees on safety practices, conducting safety training and evacuation drills in accordance with applicable standards, supporting safe building and facility modifications, and ensuring compliance with NFPA, OSHA, Rescue 1122, and relevant local safety regulations. The officer will also coordinate with HR on safety orientation for new employees and perform other duties assigned by the Manager Facility.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Candidates with Master’s degree will be preferred.

Additional Information

Certificate: Candidate must have NEBOSH / IOSH Certification. Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of practical experience .
