Octus is seeking a Staff Writer based in Pakistan to join the APAC Core Credit team, focusing on rapid, accurate financial-news storytelling from press releases and company announcements. The candidate should have newsroom or wire-service experience and excel at turning complex information into concise stories while collaborating across teams.

Ability to quickly create concise stories from complex information.

Responsibilities

Write breaking news stories based on company announcements and third-party content.
Aggregate third-party content with editorial judgment and add insights from Octus databases.
Support a team of journalists, analysts and lawyers.
Adopt Octus editorial standards, workflows, and processes promptly.
Monitor news articles, press releases, and other sources for key developments.
Work in shifts (morning/afternoon/night) to ensure full coverage.
Provide crossover support between regions for 24/7 coverage.
