Job summary

Nysonian Inc. is seeking a Finance Analyst to join our Islamabad team. You will maintain general ledger integrity, run month-end close, prepare reconciliations, and support financial reporting across the business.

The role requires solid accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with month-end processes, and the ability to work independently while escalating complex issues to the Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field; professional qualification is a plus.
• 4–6 years of experience in Finance & Accounts, general ledger, R2R, or financial accounting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger and supporting documentation.
• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities with accruals and depreciation.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Analyze account movements and provide management reporting inputs.
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Support audits, controls, and policy adherence.
• Drive process improvements and ERP data accuracy.

The Opportunity

The analyst supports accurate and timely financial accounting, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, month-end close and financial reporting, with the related control activities. The role requires sound accounting knowledge and independent judgement in reviewing transactions, investigating variances and resolving discrepancies, managing assigned accounts independently while escalating complex, unusual or high-risk matters to the Manager.

What You'll Own

• General Ledger Ownership: Maintain accurate financial records, journal entries, account classifications, and supporting documentation while ensuring GL and Chart of Accounts integrity.
• Period-End Close: Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including accruals, provisions, prepayments, depreciation, and required reconciliations.
• Account Reconciliations: Prepare and review balance sheet and control account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve aged or unsupported items within defined timelines.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare reporting schedules and accounting inputs while analyzing account-level variances, trends, and material movements for management reporting.
• Treasury, Payables & Fixed Assets: Manage bank reconciliations, supplier balances, accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset records, ensuring accurate accounting and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Intercompany Accounting: Process and reconcile intercompany transactions, confirmations, settlements, and eliminations while investigating and resolving counterpart differences.
• Audit, Compliance & Controls: Support internal and external audits, maintain complete audit trails, enforce finance policies and controls, and proactively elevate control gaps and financial risks.
• Systems & Process Improvement: Maintain accurate ERP data, coordinate with cross-functional finance and operations teams, and drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement.

Skills & Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline; professional accounting qualification or part-qualification is an advantage.
• Relevant Experience: 4–6 years of experience in Finance & Accounts, General Ledger, R2R, or financial accounting, with hands‑on month‑end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Accounting Expertise: Strong understanding of accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, accruals, provisions, prepayments, depreciation, intercompany accounting, and balance sheet controls.
• ERP & Reporting Systems: Proven experience working with ERP and financial reporting systems, with exposure to audit processes and internal controls.
• Advanced Analytical Skills: Strong reconciliation and variance-analysis capabilities, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze financial data effectively.
