Job summary

VASL is seeking a Finance Controller to ensure the accuracy of financial statements, perform financial analysis, and deliver reporting that informs senior management. The role focuses on guiding decisions, developing controls, and enabling scalable financial processes for a growing organization.

The position requires strong IFRS/US GAAP knowledge, 5+ years in finance, and hands-on experience with accounting software and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ICMA, or CA-Finalist.
• Five+ years of experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
• Experience in financial advisory, internal audit, or transaction advisory is preferred.
• Advanced Excel and MS Visio proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage comprehensive budgets.
• Forecast finances and design controls.
• Ensure tax compliance (US & UK preferred).
• Maintain general ledger, payroll, and taxes.
• Lead finance and accounting teams.
• Prepare financial statements and KPI reporting.
• Support internal audit and risk assessment.
• Oversee transaction advisory including mergers & acquisitions.

Location: Plaza ONE, next to PSO Pump, Main GT road,near DHA phase 2 Gate 1, Islamabad.

Timings: 2 PM - 11 PM, Pakistan Standard Time

We’re looking for a Finance Controller. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the financial statements, financial analysis and financial reporting (we call it “telling the story”) in a manner that management & non-accountants can understand.

As a Finance Controller you will provide comprehensive financial reports to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points, guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape; develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines, achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective action, maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development, help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies.

Responsibilities

• Building and managing budgets
• Conducting financial forecasting
• Designing financial processes and controls
• Ensuring tax compliance (US & UK taxation is preferred)
• Maintaining the general ledger, payroll, and taxes
• Managing the finance and accounting teams
• Preparing financial statements
• Providing financial and accounting insights
• Setting financial KPIs
• Staying up to date with industry-specific regulation and compliance requirements
• Tracking revenue inflows and outflows.
• Internal audit and risk assessment
• Transaction advisory (Merger & acquisition)

Qualification

• ACCA, ICMA, CA-Finalist, equivalent member of a recognized professional body.

Experience

• Five or more years of experience in accounting & finance
• Strong grip on IFRS and US GAAP.
• Financial advisory, Internal audit & transaction advisory experience will be preferred

• Hand on experience of accounting softwares
• Strong understanding of processes
• Strong command on financial data analysis
• Working knowledge of international and local tax regulations and compliance reporting (US & UK preferred)
• Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes
