Veritas Consultancy (UK) Ltd is seeking a diligent and proactive Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team in Islamabad. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Currently studying toward AAT, ACCA, or CIMA.
• 1-2 years' experience in an accounting/finance role.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and multitask.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Independent with sound judgement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records with internal controls.
• Process accounts payable and receivable timely.
• Generate and issue sales invoices; handle credit control.
• Post purchase invoices and perform bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile VAT transactions and ensure compliant postings.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, annual reports, budgets, forecasts, variances.
• Analyse aged debtors and creditors; keep ledgers updated.
• Support year-end closing with timely completion.
• Liaise with HMRC, Companies House, and regulators.
• Input data into Xero and maintain ledgers.
