Job summary

HR POD Careers is seeking an experienced ETL/Data Engineer in Lahore to design, develop, and maintain SSIS packages for large datasets. You will analyze Oracle schemas and migrate them to SQL Server, building complex T-SQL queries and ETL workflows.

The role requires 3+ years in SSIS, strong Oracle and SQL Server expertise, and experience with migrating legacy Java ETL applications. Collaboration with DBAs and business analysts is essential, with a focus on data quality and governance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/SE or equivalent professional experience.
3+ years experience building and managing SSIS packages.
Strong SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) + Oracle (10g-19c) expertise.
Experience with Oracle-to-SQL Server migrations and ETL pipelines.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust SSIS packages for ETL workflows and data loads.
Analyze Oracle schemas, procedures, functions, and re-engineer in T-SQL for SQL Server compatibility.
Develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, triggers, and functions.
Analyze and re-engineer existing Java-based ETL applications to SSIS/T-SQL.
Convert Java ETL apps into SSIS/T-SQL equivalents and plan modernization.
Unit test, integrate, and tune ETL pipelines and SQL scripts.
Document migration strategies, data mappings, and ETL workflows.
Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs and data discrepancies across environments.
Optimize queries and SSIS using indexing and execution plans.
Ensure data governance and security during migration.
Collaborate with analysts, DBAs, and PMs to translate requirements.
Provide post-migration support and performance monitoring.
