Entry-Level Librarian

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Entry-Level Librarian to join our library team in Multan. As an Entry-Level Librarian, you will be responsible for providing library services and resources to our patrons. This is a great opportunity for individuals who have a passion for books and knowledge and are looking to start their career in the field of librarianship.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons with finding and accessing library materials
• Organize and maintain library collections, including cataloguing, shelving, and weeding
• Develop and implement engaging programs and activities for library users
• Provide information literacy instruction to library users
• Process new materials for circulation
• Assist with reference inquiries through various channels, including in-person, phone, email, and online chat
• Collaborate with other library staff to plan and execute events and initiatives
• Participate in professional development opportunities to expand knowledge of librarianship

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with library management systems
• Fluency in English (knowledge of other languages is a plus)
