Job summary

Buch International Hospital in Multan, Pakistan seeks a Medical Officer for the Emergency Room to deliver timely, ethical care to emergency patients during duty hours. You will assess patients, document history in SOAP format, and coordinate with senior doctors to ensure effective treatment.

The MO will maintain records in the FOTIS system, oversee medication orders, investigations, shifts, and discharges, and uphold infection-control and aseptic practices.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent from a recognized medical institution.
• Current medical license and registration with the relevant medical council.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience, with emergency medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess emergency patients and document history using SOAP format.
• Coordinate with SMOs/consultants for patient management.
• Maintain accurate records in the FOTIS system.
• Ensure proper medication orders, investigations, shifting and discharge procedures.
• Follow uniform, infection-control and aseptic practices.
• Monitor patient care and supervise paramedical staff.
• Obtain informed consent and counsel patients regarding treatment and charges.
• Comply with hospital policies and participate in CME meetings.
