Job summary

Imtiaz in Karachi, Pakistan is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to optimize cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation systems for a retail e-commerce platform. The role emphasizes secure, scalable delivery processes and improved operational efficiency across development, staging, and production.

You will work with development and QA teams to streamline deployments, manage cloud resources, and monitor infrastructure performance, ensuring reliable production operations in an onsite

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is required.
3–5 years of hands-on DevOps or cloud engineering experience is expected.
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is essential.
Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes is required.
Hands-on with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Bitbucket Pipelines.
Knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible is necessary.
Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell; good networking knowledge (VPC, LB, DNS, CDN).
Experience with high-traffic e-commerce environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
Automate provisioning, configuration, and scaling of cloud resources.
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
Manage secure deployments across development, staging, and production.
Oversee Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters; maintain Helm charts.
Implement monitoring and logging with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK; set alerts.
Support incident management and post-incident reviews; apply DevSecOps practices.
Monitor cloud usage and optimize costs; assist performance tuning and capacity planning.
Collaborate with development and QA to improve delivery workflows.
