Job summary

A manufacturing company in Karachi is seeking a Graduate Engineer with around 10 years of experience in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of industrial machinery, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems. The ideal candidate will ensure equipment availability, control spare parts inventory, and train the workforce. This role requires a strong technical background in relevant engineering fields along with good leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Around 10 years of work experience in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-based industrial machines.
• Sound hands-on experience may also be considered.

Job description

Responsibilities

1. To ensure, on an on-going basis, that equipment and infra-structure are kept in good working condition.
2. To ensure prompt emergency repair of equipment and infra-structure so as to secure the best possible availability for production.
3. To plan, schedule and execute the preventive maintenance programmer of plant & equipment.
4. To control the inventory of spare parts to an optimum level.
5. To enhance, through the study of modifications, extensions, or new low-cost equipment, the productivity of existing equipment or production capacity.
6. To ensure correct operation of equipment for production and for the distribution of utilities such as electricity air & water.
7. To advise plant management as well as production, purchasing and R&D department in the field of acquisition, installation and operation of machinery and spare parts.
8. To ensure environmental protection.
9. To train and motivate work force to prepare for each and every job whenever required.
10. Assign areas and responsibilities to sub-ordinate, monitor their performance and provide guide lines where necessary.
11. Clarify department objectives and their relationship with the overall company’s objective and convey the same to the sub-ordinates.
12. Promote constructive discipline and working harmony in the department.
13. Communicate management instruction / policies to the staff under him.
14. Appraise performance / recommendation of the sub-ordinates under him.
15. Ensure strict compliance of safety rules by all concerned in his department.
16. To approve leaves and authorize overtime as per company’s rules.
17. Maintain liaison with other Division / Department for smooth and efficient working of the Company.
18. Conduct / organize Training of the staff

Job Specification

Should be Graduate Engineer in relevant field having around 10 years of work experience in trouble shooting and preventive maintenance of Hydraulic, Pneumatice, PLC based industrial machines, Hydraulic and Mechanical Presses, Welding Machines, Compressors, Generators, Pumps etc,

Diploma Holders with B-Tech having sound hand's on experience may also be considered.
