• Maintain detailed MIS reports for payments, reconciliations, and statutory reporting.
• Draft memos to MD or OGRA correspondence on finance and billing matters.
• Ensure vouchers and debit/credit notes are validated in Oracle.
• Coordinate with Treasury for FX remittances and exchange gain/loss accounting.

Job description

ACCA / MBA preferably in Finance with at least 2 years of experience

Responsibilities:

• Supervise filing process and procedures, process the invoices are to be duly and timely presented for verification purpose and for the payment after verification.
• Assist GP Section in reviewing and commenting new GSPAs / LA / TS, Amendments / renewal of GSPAs, and implementation of GSPA clauses in Invoices.
• Compilation of gas purchase invoices data and conduct cross verification working schedules re-checking financial accuracy, and the compliance of invoices as per the provisions of GSA, OGRA price notifications, and taxation laws.
• Compilation of Monthly data in ERP format for batch uploading in ORACLE through ADI – AP Module
• Maintaining detailed excel MIS reports to streamline the recording, reporting, and payment process for the timely submission of key MIS figures for management review as well as for various reconciliations reports including Circular Debt Reporting, Foreign Payments & Remittances reconciliations and, Cost of Gas (includes detailed reports of creditors / LPG and other reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing draft memos/Notes to Managing Director /responses for Ministry and OGRA Correspondence on the following matters, (i) Finance and billing related clauses and other general matters of agreements of new gas fields agreements and amendments (ii) Approval from management for initialed / expired agreements based on legal opinion. (iii) Basis of payment/costing queries, rate per MMBTU for gas fields/pricing matters. (iv) Other invoice-related matters.
• Upload compiled monthly invoices data in the ORACLE System within the prescribed accounting period, field / supplier code and Tax Jurisdiction on a timely basis.
• Ensure vouchers are validated before being entered into the system and carry out reconciling adjustments through journal vouchers.
• Coordinate with respective user department (Treasury Function) to obtain debit advices for all foreign payments and remitted to the supplier and record gain or loss of currency exchange on ORACLE.
• Prepare draft MIS report pertaining to foreign payments on a timely basis for review and approval by senior supervisor.
• Incorporate all relevant details on ORACLE pertaining to foreign payments including supplier details, reference of bank account for remittances, amount of payment etc.
• Ensure payment vouchers are prepared along with details such suppliers’ details, bank account of the supplier etc.
• relating to LPG and RLNG on a timely basis and upload on ORACLE accordingly.
• Prepare draft report of creditors pertaining to Gas Purchases, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all invoices received and payments made during the period are accounted.
• Ensure timely reconciliations of gas purchases against General Ledger and incorporate exchange gain / loss realized on foreign transactions are accounted for in the creditors’ schedule.
• Pass Journal Vouchers in the ORACLE system of outstanding dollars payable to foreign suppliers at the closing rate on quarterly basis and the revaluation gain / loss is recorded in the General Ledger (GL).
• Submit schedule of Gas Creditors after final review to the Accounts department for Financial Reporting at each reporting period upon prior approval from senior supervisor.
• Prepare draft reconciliation report relating to Cost of Gas from gas schedules with General Ledger.
• Assist in coordination with inter-departments of E&P suppliers for documentation/invoice related matters resolving in a timely order, which includes;
  • Reconciliation of supplier’s invoices on a monthly basis.
  • Updating status of payments / non-payments of gas fields.
  • Scrutinized applicability of off-specification discounts, EWT Discounts, other discounts as per GSPA and follow-up with technical departments for outstanding invoices pending verification.
  • Coordinate with Treasury Department on a timely basis relating to Bank allocations / Payment Vouchers & FX remittances reconciliations with Treasury departments.
  • Ensure effective management of debit & credit notes invoices which includes Preparation of Debit /Credit Notes, ensuring compliance of invoices as per the provisions of GSA, OGRA price notifications, and taxation laws.

  • Preparation LPG/RLNG Payment Vouchers
  • Upload M-forms for foreign exchange payments to foreign E&P companies on commercial bank portal for onward submission to State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) by Treasury department based upon Foreign Exchange allocation.
  • (Around more than 50 M-forms monthly are approved on FX Portal).
• The individual shall ensure compliance to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework enforced in the Company while performing job responsibilities in accordance with his assigned role.
• The individual shall ensure compliance to the Business Principles and Ethics Policy / Code of Conduct.
• Undertake any other task assigned by the management.
