Job summary

Recruitment Intelligence in Pakistan is seeking an experienced Data Platform Performance Engineer to optimize pipelines, data marts and cloud databases, including replication health and indexing.

You will implement dashboards, tune queries, monitor performance, and contribute to runbooks and incident response while collaborating across Data Engineering and cloud operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in database/platform performance engineering, observability or data-platform operations.
• Database performance tuning, indexing and query-plan analysis.
• Grafana, Azure Application Insights or comparable monitoring platforms.
• Cloud database operations and capacity monitoring.
• Replication, data-mart and ETL/ELT operational concepts.
• Metrics, logs, alert design and incident diagnosis.
• Clear evidence-based reporting of performance findings and changes.

Responsibilities

Preferred experience

• Databricks/Spark observability and Delta Lake optimization.
• OpenTelemetry and cross-service correlation.
• Automated performance regression checks.
• Operational dashboards, alerts and ownership matrix.
• Performance baselines and prioritized tuning backlog.
• Implemented indexing/tuning changes with before-and-after evidence.
• Replication and database incident runbooks.

Works with Data Engineering, Python Data Engineering, cloud/platform operations and database owners.
