Calrom Pakistan (Private) Limited, a Travel Innovation Group tech division, is seeking a Data Operations Analyst to maintain data accuracy across critical applications. The role emphasizes investigating data issues, performing controlled fixes, and using SQL to support incident investigations.

You will collaborate with SRE and development teams to improve data quality and ensure systems run reliably from the Lahore office. Strong SQL skills and production experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience writing, troubleshooting, and optimizing SQL queries against Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server architecture, tables, views, indexes and stored procedures.
• Experience investigating data-related issues in production environments.
• Ability to perform controlled data fixes with data integrity and auditability.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server Agent, jobs and automated processes.
• Experience using SQL Server Profiler and Extended Events to diagnose performance issues.

We’re looking for a Data Operations Analyst to join our team and help maintain the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data across our business‑critical applications. The role will focus on investigating data issues, performing controlled data fixes, and using SQL to investigate and resolve incidents.

You will work closely with our SRE and development teams to support operational processes, improve data quality, and ensure systems continue to perform as expected. Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with production support activities and data‑related incident resolution.
• Supporting application releases by validating data and business processes before and after deployments.
• Creating and maintaining SQL scripts to automate routine support activities.
• Working closely with SRE and development teams to implement long‑term solutions to recurring issues.
• Producing and maintaining documentation for investigations, data fixes, and support procedures.
• Proactively identifying opportunities to improve data quality, processes, and operational efficiency.

Essentials

• Experience writing, troubleshooting, and optimizing SQL queries against Microsoft SQL Server.
• Good understanding of Microsoft SQL Server architecture and database concepts, including tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, and database relationships.
• Experience investigating and resolving data‑related issues within production environments.
• Ability to perform controlled data fixes while maintaining data integrity, auditability, and compliance with change management processes.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server Agent, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining scheduled jobs and automated processes.
• Experience using SQL Server Profiler, Extended Events, and other diagnostic tools to investigate application and database performance issues.
• Understanding of SQL Server security concepts, including logins, users, roles, permissions, and the SQL Server security model.
• Understanding of SQL Server backup and recovery processes, including the ability to validate backups and support recovery activities when required.
• Experience using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) to administer and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Desirables

• Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server Failover Cluster Instances (FCI).
• Knowledge of Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC).
• Knowledge of SQL Server High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HADR) solutions, including Availability Groups, failover technologies, and disaster recovery concepts.
• Knowledge of query optimization, execution plans, and database performance tuning.
• Experience working within ITIL‑based support environments and incident management processes.
• Experience with reporting and data visualisation tools.
• Familiarity with data reconciliation, validation, and quality assurance processes.
• Exposure to scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles and release management processes.
• Experience supporting cloud‑hosted applications and databases.
• Awareness of industry best practices relating to database management and data governance.
