Job summary

Har Aik Global Associates is seeking a Data Migration Specialist for a 5-month contract to lead the data migration workstream ahead of the go-live on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

The role involves extracting, cleansing, mapping, validating and loading data from legacy systems, working closely with the implementation partner and finance/operations stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications

• Experience migrating data into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or Dynamics NAV).
• Strong understanding of BC data structures (GL, Customers, Vendors, Items, Inventory, documents).
• Experience with migration tooling like RapidStart, Config Packages, or ETL tools.
• Strong Excel skills for data profiling, cleansing and mapping; data reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the data migration workstream for the Dynamics 365 Business Central go-live.
• Extract, cleanse, map, validate and load data from legacy systems.
• Collaborate with implementation partner, finance and operations stakeholders, and project team.

The Data Migration Specialist will be engaged for a 5-month contract to lead and execute the data migration workstream ahead of the organisation's go-live on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This role is responsible for extracting, cleansing, mapping, validating and loading data from legacy systems into Business Central, working closely with the implementation partner, finance and operations stakeholders, and the internal project team to ensure data is accurate, complete and fit for go-live.

Essential

• Demonstrated hands-on experience migrating data into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or Dynamics NAV) in a prior implementation. Strong working knowledge of Business Central data structures (e.g. General Ledger, Customers, Vendors, Items, Inventory, Sales/Purchase documents).
• Practical experience with migration tooling such as RapidStart Services, Configuration Packages, or equivalent ETL tools. Advanced Excel skills (e.g. Power Query, complex formulas, lookups) for data profiling, cleansing and mapping. Strong data analysis and reconciliation skills, with high attention to accuracy and detail.
• Experience working within a structured implementation/project methodology, including test cycles and formal sign-off gates.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, able to work directly with finance and operations stakeholders who are not technical.
