Job summary

Funavry Technologies is seeking an experienced data governance professional to design and run a federated data governance framework. You will define policies, establish data owners and stewards, and drive adoption of the data catalog using Purview.

You will lead domain modeling, define data quality KPIs, perform maturity assessments, and coach stakeholders. Expertise with Purview, Collibra, Alation or Informatica, and cloud platforms like Fabric, Synapse, Databricks or Snowflake is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data management, including hands-on governance programs and enterprise data models.
• Strong knowledge of data mesh and federated governance.
• Hands-on with an enterprise catalog (Purview, Collibra, Alation or Informatica).
• Expert in dimensional and domain modeling, using tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio or SqlDBM.
• Working knowledge of cloud data platforms (Fabric, Synapse, Databricks or Snowflake) and the medallion architecture.
• Strong SQL and stakeholder communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Design governance policies, standards and roles (data owners, stewards, governance council).
• Implement and drive adoption of the data catalog(Microsoft Purview preferred): glossary, ownership, lineage, classification.
• Lead domain modeling(conceptual and logical, alignedwith domain-driven design).
• Define data quality rules and KPIs, and the master and reference data approach.
• Run maturity assessments and workshops; coach data ownersand stewards.
