The ideal candidate will translate data management needs into practical policies, processes, controls, and implementation plans, with strong stakeholder collaboration in a hybrid, international environment.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Data Strategy, or related field.
• Experience in enterprise data governance and maturity programs.
• Hands-on data maturity and gap assessment experience.
• Experience developing data policies, standards, procedures, and governance controls.
• Experience managing remediation plans and maturity improvement initiatives.
• Strong understanding of data governance concepts including metadata, lineage, stewardship, lifecycle.
• Experience with evidence management, audit prep, and compliance documentation.
• Stakeholder management across business, data, and technology teams.
• Excellent documentation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Hybrid, international, client-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead data management maturity and governance initiatives.
• Assess capabilities against defined maturity requirements and assessment criteria.
• Conduct gap assessments and identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain data policies, standards, procedures, frameworks, and guidelines.
• Define and implement governance controls, processes, roles, and responsibilities.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to implement data governance practices.
• Develop remediation plans for governance and maturity gaps.
• Track actions, timelines, owners, dependencies, and closure status.
• Define, collect, validate, and maintain governance evidence and documentation.
• Ensure alignment with assessment requirements and keep governance repositories organized.
• Support audits, maturity assessments, and compliance reviews.
• Prepare management reports on progress, gaps, and risks.
• Facilitate governance workshops to drive adoption.
• Identify opportunities to improve governance capabilities and maturity.
