Job summary

Funavry Technologies is seeking an experienced Data Governance Lead to design and operate a federated data governance framework. You will define policies, drive the data mesh, and shepherd the data catalog rollout with Purview or comparable tools.

The role requires deep experience in domain modeling, data quality, and enterprise data platforms. Strong SQL and English communication are essential in a globally distributed environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data management, governance programs and enterprise data models.
• Strong knowledge of data mesh and federated governance.
• Hands-on with an enterprise catalog (Purview, Collibra, Alation or Informatica).
• Expert in dimensional and domain modeling, using Erwin, ER/Studio or SqlDBM.
• Working knowledge of cloud data platforms (Fabric, Synapse, Databricks or Snowflake) and the medallion architecture.
• Strong SQL and stakeholder communication skills in English.

Defines and runs the data governance and data management framework, moving the organization toward a federated, domain-oriented data mesh with trusted, discoverable data products. The client platform is based on Microsoft Azure and Fabric, with Microsoft Purview for governance.

Nice to have

• Logistics, ports or supply chain experience
• Familiarity with NDMO standards and PDPL; Arabic is a plus
