Job summary

Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd. (MMBL) seeks a Data Engineer to design, build and maintain the Medallion Data Architecture (Raw → Curated → Semantic) using MINIO-based Delta Lake.

You will integrate data from multiple systems, enable BI/ML initiatives, and optimize ETL pipelines with Spark, Trino, and Kafka. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of data engineering experience, strong SQL skills, and hands-on experience with Delta Lake, MINIO, and distributed computing technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering or ETL.
• Strong SQL development and database optimization.
• Experience with Oracle 19c, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Hands-on Python and R for data manipulation and ETL.
• Knowledge of Big Data technologies and distributed computing.
• Experience with Apache Spark/PySpark.
• Knowledge of MINIO, S3 and object storage platforms.
• Understanding of Delta Lake architecture and Medallion Data Architecture.
• Experience in data modeling, data federation, and columnar OLAP storage.
• Knowledge of batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Experience with Tableau for visualization and reporting.
• Understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, data governance, security, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage data pipelines using Kafka, Sqoop, Trino, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake.
• Design and maintain Raw, Curated, and Semantic data zones.
• Build scalable batch and structured streaming processes using Apache Spark/PySpark.
• Implement data modeling using columnar OLAP formats such as Parquet.
• Support structured and federated data queries through Trino.
• Work with governance teams to improve data discoverability, quality, and cataloging.
• Contribute to data quality frameworks and data lineage initiatives.
• Perform data pipeline and query performance tuning.
• Support data integration and ETL automation across multiple systems.
