Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to provide on-site contract support in Islamabad, PK. Responsibilities include hardware installations, cabling, server racking, and issue resolution within premier data center facilities.

The role requires 2+ years of data center or IT infrastructure experience, strong English communication, and familiarization with DCIM and ticketing systems. On-site work and own transportation are expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a; fiber) and server hardware experience.
• Professional communication skills in English.
• Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS or similar) are preferred.
• Network certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+) preferred.
• Familiarity with major colocation providers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
• Lift 50+ lbs and work in raised floor environments.
• Own transportation and on-site availability.
• Professional communication with stakeholders.
