Alibaba Group is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to drive data-driven decisions across finance and operations in Karachi. You will design strategies with business teams, build dashboards, and automate reporting using SQL and scripting tools.

You will translate complex data into actionable insights, support budgeting and forecasting, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve seller operations and marketing performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in business intelligence or financial analysis.
• Strong SQL skills with complex queries and optimization.
• Proficiency in visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

Job Description

• Collaborate with the business teams to design strategies that align with business objectives.
• Prepare detailed reports and dashboards to track the business performance.
• Leveraging Python for scripting and manual/repetitive task automation.
• Developing a 360-degree business acumen, and KPI understanding across all the domains to help better handle business plan data requirements.
• Reconciliation of data between different sources by finding the root cause of the gap and closing that gap while aligning multiple stakeholders.
• Conduct evaluation and verification activities designed to improve seller operations, customer satisfaction and business performance.
• Helping with budget planning, forecasting and relevant operational and planning model development using SQL for data extraction, and spreadsheet or Python for modelling.
• Translate complex findings into written text and prepare periodic reports that track key performance metrics on sales & marketing trends.
• Analyse the performance of business across different Logistics domain using SQL for data extraction, and spreadsheet or Python for modelling.

Business Analysis & Insights

• Translate business problems into analytical questions, hypotheses, and measurable KPIs.
• Move beyond reporting to explain “what happened, why it happened, and what should we do next.”
• Develop actionable recommendations based on data and quantify potential business impact.

Partner with Operations teams to solve business problems.

AI & Automation

• Use AI prompts to build self-service BI solutions, enabling business users to independently generate insights and reports.
• Automate repetitive data preparation, reporting, and validation tasks to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Position Requirement

1. 1) Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Statistics, or related field
2. 2) 3+ years experience in business intelligence or financial analysis
3. 3) Strong SQL skills: Complex query writing, data manipulation, performance optimization
4. 4) Analytical skills: ROI analysis, A/B testing methodology, statistical analysis
5. 5) Proficiency in visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
