Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate different types of cranes including tower, crawler, mobile, and overhead cranes.
• Inspect equipment before use and report defects or malfunctions.
• Review work orders to determine materials needed for each lift.
• Position crane boom, jib, or attachments according to load size/weight.
• Operate controls to maneuver crane for lifting or moving materials.
• Communicate with ground crew using hand signals or radios.
• Monitor load weight and adjust crane movements as needed.
• Complete daily logs of crane usage and maintenance.
