Job summary

Hayat in Faisalabad is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accounting Specialist to strengthen our finance team. The role focuses on product costing, cost estimation, material pricing, SAP costing activities, and month-end processes to support accurate manufacturing costing.

You will collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Production, Procurement, and the Hayat HQ Manufacturing Finance team to ensure timely reporting, price setting for new materials, and robust cost control.

Qualifications

• ACMA/ACCA or MBA with manufacturing experience.
• 2–4 years experience for ACMA/ACCA candidates, or 5+ years for MBA.
• Strong costing, cost accounting, material pricing, and SAP FICO knowledge.
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting standards.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completeness and accuracy of product costs.
• Execute CO month opening and closing activities per processes.
• Post import vendor invoices and allocate import costs.
• Support intercompany vendor reconciliations and invoicing.
• Assist Supply Chain with stock counts and waste valuation.
• Maintain pricing for materials and cost estimates in SAP.
• Prepare budgets, updates, and management reports in SAP.
• Provide cost accounting support to Production and Purchasing teams.
• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports on time.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and internal checklists.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical finance professional to join our Finance team as a Cost Accounting Specialist based in Faisalabad.

This role will be responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of product costs, supporting cost accounting and controlling activities, and ensuring timely and accurate financial information for manufacturing operations.

Role Summary

As a Cost Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for product costing, cost estimation, material pricing, SAP costing activities, CO month opening and closing processes, and cost-related reporting. The role will work closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Production, Procurement, Marketing, and the Hayat HQ Manufacturing Finance team to support accurate costing and effective business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure completeness and accuracy of direct and indirect costs related to products to determine accurate product costs.
• Execute CO month opening and closing activities in accordance with defined processes and checklists.
• Post import vendor invoices and allocate importation costs to relevant materials.
• Support reconciliation of intercompany vendors and posting of intercompany invoices where required.
• Assist Supply Chain with physical stock counts of raw materials and finished goods.
• Ascertain waste figures and their valuation for management reporting.
• Check the availability of POs in SAP and follow up with Raw Material Stores for timely GRNs.
• Follow up on technical materials (Capex) from PR through PO and GRN.
• Ensure goods receipts are in accordance with commercial invoices.
• Supervise import invoicing activities in SAP.
• Review material prices in the system and maintain future prices for newly created materials in coordination with Procurement.
• Execute cost estimation and ensure timely release of cost estimates.
• Create Product Cost Collectors.
• Maintain Costing and Accounting views in SAP Material Master data.
• Support budget preparation, updating, and reporting through SAP.
• Provide support to the line manager on the day-to-day operation of financial information systems and ad hoc reports required for management reporting.
• Provide accurate estimated product and sample costs to support the Marketing team in assessing competitive selling prices.
• Provide support to Plant and Production Managers in relevant financial and cost accounting activities.
• Ensure timely submission of accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Ensure all transactions relating to monthly closing are performed according to the relevant checklist and support updates to the checklist when required.
• Follow and ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and rules.

What We’re Looking For

• ACMA, ACCA, or an MBA in Finance/Accounting.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience for ACMA/ACCA candidates, or 5+ years of relevant experience for MBA candidates, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of product costing, cost accounting, material pricing, and manufacturing finance.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP FICO.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
• Good understanding of Accounting Standards.
• Strong accuracy, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Good English communication skills.
