Job summary

Centric Brands Inc. is seeking an experienced merchandise professional to lead development from concept to shipment, ensuring quality, cost control, and on-time delivery across denim lines.

The ideal candidate has 8-10 years in merchandising, deep knowledge of garment manufacturing, excellent communication skills, and advanced MS Excel proficiency; travel as required.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end product development through shipment, ensuring quality, vendor, price and on-time delivery.
• Oversee product development, costing, and price negotiations.
• Regular factory visits to follow up on samples, bulk fabrics, trims, and delivery.
• Monitor sampling and approvals to ensure timely submissions and execution.
• Handle lab dips, bulk fabric color and quality submissions.
• Track production schedules and ensure timely deliveries with corrective actions if needed.
• Negotiate prices and quantities with buyers and suppliers.
• Maintain relationships with channel partners while protecting margins.
• Coordinate factory space bookings and shipping documents post-shipment.
• Collaborate with compliance for renewals and corrective actions.
• Manage critical paths to forecast delays and plan contingencies.
• Oversee production at factories and coordinate with QA and factory teams.

Specific Responsibilities Would Include

• Handle end to end product’s development till shipment, ensure right quality, right vendor, right price and on time delivery.
• Product Development: Oversee product development, costing, and price negotiations.
• Factory Visits: Regular visits to follow up on samples submissions, developments, bulk fabrics, bulk trims, sewing line planning, and monitor garment delivery.
• Sampling and Approval: Closely monitor the sampling approval process to ensure timely submissions and proper execution.
• Fabric Submissions: Handle all lab dips, bulk fabric color, and quality submissions.
• T&A (WIP) Monitoring: Regularly follow up on T&A, ensuring timely delivery and accurate reporting.
• Supplier and Buyer Collaboration: Negotiate prices, quantities, and timescales with buyers and suppliers.
• Customer Relationships: Maximize customer interest while maintaining margin levels and building constructive relationships with channel partners.
• Factory Coordination: Ensure timely factory space bookings with shipping lines and prompt handover of goods, along with all required shipping documents post-shipment.
• Compliance Coordination: Work with the compliance team on FE renewals and factory corrective action plans.
• Price Negotiation: Coordinate price negotiations with suppliers as designated by the Sr. Merchandiser, Assistant Merchandise Manager, or Merchandise Manager.
• Critical Path Management: Track critical paths, forecast potential delays, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure on-time delivery.
• Production Coordination: Oversee production at assigned factories, maintain communication with QA departments and the Factory Management Team to ensure quality, inspections, and delivery deadlines are met.

Additional Requirements

• 8-10 years working experience in merchandising
• Sound knowledge of garments manufacturing process & Merchandising (especially the Denim Product)
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, highly detail oriented and meticulous
• Professional qualification in related field of merchandising
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, Excel, primarily focused on MS Excel
