Piogcl is seeking a seasoned Company Man to supervise all drilling, completion and workover operations on-site, coordinating with Client Prime Pakistan Well Operations Karachi Office. You will direct both land and offshore contractors, conduct pre-operations and daily meetings, and ensure activities comply with programmes, costs, and safety standards.

The role requires an engineering degree, 10+ years in oil & gas with five years as Company Man, and certification in Well Control (IADC/IWCF).

Qualifications

• Engineering degree.
• 10+ years in oil & gas, onshore/offshore, with 5+ years as Company Man.
• Well Control certified (IADC/IWCF).
• Strong drilling, completion and workover knowledge.
• Awareness of latest drilling technologies.
• Background in HPHT wells with high H2S.
• Experience with Lean Profile, UBD, Coil Tubing, EDR, SIMOPS, Rig construction/upgrading, Well bore stability.

Responsabilités

• Main focal point between the rig and Client Prime Pakistan Well Operations Karachi Office.
• Direct and supervise land and offshore drilling contractors at the rig site.
• Lead pre-operations meetings with major contractors.
• Lead daily review meetings with rig personnel for 24h operations.
• Critically review programmes before implementation.
• Ensure safe execution of well programmes and cost/safety optimization.

Overall Purpose of the Job

The primary purpose of the Company Man at well site is to supervise, co-ordinate, direct and ensure all operations are executed in accordance with requirements and specifications as per Company’s issued programmes & procedures and within defined budget. To direct the work of all Client Prime Pakistan on-land and offshore Drilling Contractors, coordinate logistics and the timely availability of equipment, services, and personnel. To direct at well site all day-to-day operations related to the drilling, completion, and workover operations of wells. To monitor the performance of drilling contractors. To trouble shoot the operational problems in conjunction with the Drilling & Completions Superintendent. To ensure operations are conducted in a timely, safe, and environmentally friendly manner. To take all measures and precautions to mitigate the risk of well blowouts and other hole problems.

Principal Accountabilities

Will be the main focal point between the rig and Client Prime Pakistan Well Operations Karachi Office Drilling & Completions Superintendent.

Supervises and directs the work of all Client Prime land & offshore Drilling Contractors at rig site.

Conduct a pre-operations meeting on rig site prior to the commencement of drilling operations with all the major contractors involved.

Conduct a daily morning meeting with key rig personnel to review the preceding 24 hrs operations and review the requirements for the next 24hrs operations.

Critically review all programmes with a sound operational approach, clarifying any areas of uncertainties, before implementation.

Responsible for the safe execution of well programmes by ensuring that the Contractor’s personnel implement the requirements of issued programmes to maximize cost effectiveness and safety.

Candidate Profile

Engineering degree

Minimum 10 years of oil & gas industry experience both onshore and offshore with at least five (5) years as a Company Man

Well Control certified by IADC/IWCF

Excellent management skills & technical knowledge of drilling, completion, and workover operations

Awareness of latest technologies used in drilling, completion and workover activities.

A sound background in supervision of high temperature/high pressure (HPHT) wells with high H2S concentration

Experience and knowledge of Lean Profile, Underbalanced Drilling, Coil Tubing Drilling, Extended Reach Drilling, Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS), Rig Construction/Upgrading, Well Bore Stability.
