Job summary

A prominent NGO in Pakistan is seeking a talented community mobilization officer for a 7-month project based in Multan. Your role will involve leading climate awareness campaigns, facilitating community group formations, and ensuring effective communication among stakeholders. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field and has at least 4 years of experience in community engagement or similar projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience with participatory rural appraisal (PRA) tools.
  • Proficiency in local languages and report writing.

Job description

Duty Station: Multan / Project Sites
Duration: 7 months (Dec 2025 – June 2026)
Reporting to: Project Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead community mobilization and awareness campaigns on climate resilience, water conservation, and green city concepts.
  • Facilitate formation of community groups for operation and maintenance of project interventions.
  • Conduct stakeholder consultations, FGDs, and social mapping.
  • Support gender and inclusion mainstreaming throughout project activities.
  • Ensure effective communication between field teams, local government, and beneficiaries.
  • Document community feedback, grievances, and success stories.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or Environmental Studies.
  • At least 4 years of experience in community engagement or social mobilization for development or environmental projects.
  • Experience with participatory rural appraisal (PRA) tools and reporting.
Core Competencies
  • Excellent facilitation and interpersonal communication skills.
