Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Prescribed Experience & Eligibility Criteria Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in operating CNC Lathe, Vertical Machining Center (VMC), or Horizontal Boring Machines in a precision engineering workshop.

Job Description & Position Overview

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for executing assigned duties in Heavy Precision Engineering Complex. Core focus includes operational efficiency, statutory compliance, quality standards, and adherence to standard operating procedures.

• Operate CNC lathes and milling centers to manufacture precision machine components according to engineering blueprints; set workpiece datum coordinates (G54) and tool length/wear offsets; perform single-block dry runs; inspect finished components using precision micrometers and vernier calipers to within strict drawing tolerances; perform daily preventive machine maintenance.
• CNC Machine Setup, 3-Jaw Chuck & Fixture Clamping, Tool Offset & Geometry Measurement, G-Code & M-Code Verification, Precision Metrology (Micrometers, Dial Bore Gauges), Workshop Safety

Practical Trade / Skill Demonstration Test covering hands-on technical competencies and safety standards.
