Job summary

Teknosys is seeking a Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate on‑premises and private cloud environments with a focus on Kubernetes‑based platforms, reliability engineering, and production operations.

The role entails guiding engineering teams, defining platform roadmaps, and ensuring highly available, scalable, and secure environments across data centers for mission‑critical applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 6-8 years in Infrastructure/Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Administration.
• Strong Kubernetes platform operations and cluster management background.
• Proficiency with virtualization (VMware vSphere, OpenStack), bare metal provisioning, and storage systems (SAN/NAS/Ceph).
• Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, and scripting (Shell/Python) with an automation-first approach.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog) and building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage on-premises and private cloud environments supporting mission-critical applications.
• Build, upgrade, and maintain highly available production-grade Kubernetes clusters with full lifecycle management.
• Implement IaC using Terraform, Ansible, and automation to standardize infrastructure processes.
• Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting practices with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog.
• Drive reliability engineering through SLAs, SLOs, incident response, and RCA for critical issues.
• Implement Kubernetes security best practices (RBAC, network policies, secrets management) and enforce compliance.
• Mentor engineers, collaborate across teams, and define platform roadmaps to improve operational maturity.
